Maclay came into Monday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 70-42 win over the Franklin County Seahawks. The Marauders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Sebastian Aleksander had a dynamite game for Maclay, putting up 18 points. George Grant was another key player, posting nine points.

Despite the loss, Franklin County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Karcenpolo10 Karcenpolo10@Gmail.Com posted seven points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Braelin Morris, who put up seven points and three steals.

Maclay's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Franklin County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Maclay will venture away from home to take on Marianna at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wewahitchka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wewahitchka is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.
