After flying high against the Lakeview Wildcats on Monday, the Tri County Area Vikings came back down to earth. Tri County Area fell 69-59 to West Michigan Aviation Academy on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tri County Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brennan Grabinski, who scored 17 points. Gavin Rykse was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Tri County Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Michigan Aviation Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Tri County Area will head out on the road to face off against Big Rapids at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Michigan Aviation Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Forest Hills Eastern at 7:00 p.m.
