The Ignite Athletics Flames suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Hannan at home and fell 90-45. Ignite Athletics has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Ignite Athletics still got an impressive performance from Trevor Bailey, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bailey has scored all season. Will Whittington was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Eli Chapman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hannan, scoring 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Wright, who scored 18 points.
Ignite Athletics bumped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Hannan, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ignite Athletics will take on Elk Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elk Valley Christian is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. Hannan will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Calvary Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
