The Chargers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Saints at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Carroll sitting on five straight wins and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on four.
Carroll is returning to their home field after beating Homestead on theirs, despite the fact Homestead has dominated at home this season. The Chargers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 4-2.

Taylor Danley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Lauren Kirkpatrick was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger earned a 9-4 win over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers on Monday.
The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Baker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Nees, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Carroll's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Carroll hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Carroll took their win against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 20-5 score. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
