The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mansfield, who defeated 51st ranked Duncanville, 35-24.
The Tigers scaled the state rankings by moving to 67 from 109 this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region I District 7. Mansfield was able to move up by topping the Panthers 35-24.
Midlothian's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Humphreys threw for 225 and 3 touchdowns and Brendon Cornell had 125 yards receiving. On the ground Victor Williams contributed 100 yards. Keion Stton helped Midlothian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 69 yards.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Humphreys and Cornell proved tough for DeSoto to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Stton helped Midlothian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 69 yards.

Duncanville's Jeremiah Drake and Devante Smith led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Drake has thrown for 1,759 yards this season, while Smith has 51 catches for 606 yards. Williams from Midlothian leads the league in rushing with 869 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Cedar Hill and Mansfield Timberview. The Longhorns enters the game ranked 12th in the state, while the Wolves ranks 10th.
There should be lots of points scored when the Eagles and Jeff Dicus' team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, DeSoto comes in having scored 303 this season, while the Panthers have scored 260. Claude Mathis' team scored 62 points last week as it bested Lee Wiginton's team.
Adding to the longest winning streak in 5A Region I District 7 this week, the Eagles beat the Panthers 62-42. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
