The Taylor Ducks will be playing at home against the Caldwell Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Taylor scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Manor New Tech a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Taylor, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Manor New Tech with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Kaleigh Woods (4),
Kaylie Chavez (2), and
Kaitlin Crane.
Meanwhile, Caldwell's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Manor New Tech 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Caldwell as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Taylor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. As for Caldwell, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.
Taylor took their win against Caldwell when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 4-0. Does Taylor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Caldwell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
