It was a good run, but the Bible Baptist Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 59-47 to North Georgia Christian Academy. Bible Baptist Christian has not had much luck with North Georgia Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Hamilton, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Hamilton has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Black, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
North Georgia Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Luke Beaver, who scored 22 points. J Moulton was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Bible Baptist Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for North Georgia Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bible Baptist Christian will take on Victory Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Victory Baptist has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. North Georgia Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Philadelphia Christian School at 3:00 p.m. on January 20th. Philadelphia Christian School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 357th, while North Georgia Christian Academy is ranked 169th).
