The Mooresville Blue Devils will head out to face off against the East Rowan Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Mooresville is headed out to face East Rowan after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Mooresville was the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over Independence on Tuesday.
Mooresville got a great performance from Connor Park as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest earned runs Park has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Cole Intoppa was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Southern Smith-Tilley, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Mooresville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, East Rowan came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Spiders a 26-0 shutout.
Keaton Walker and Mason Phelps were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Walker pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Phelps tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Walker scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Phelps went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Harrison Ailshie was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Collins, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Mooresville might still be hurting after the 12-5 loss they got from East Rowan in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Mooresville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
