Inter-Lakes and Berlin are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The pair will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Inter-Lakes comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Inter-Lakes suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 44-24 defeat at the hands of Somersworth.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Olivia Kimball, who scored nine points along with four steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that she posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Wesson, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Berlin, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-32 loss to Kennett on Friday. Berlin has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Inter-Lakes' loss was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Berlin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Inter-Lakes came up short against Berlin in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 51-40. Can Inter-Lakes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
