After a string of three wins, the Castleberry Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were dealt a 46-14 defeat at the hands of Hillsboro.
Hillsboro was led to victory by Callie Tucker and Charlee Mack. Tucker scored 13 points, while Mack scored 15 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mack has scored at least 25% of Hillsboro's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Melody Munoz, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals.
Castleberry's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hillsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Grandview the next time they take the court. Hillsboro will host Grandview at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, while Castleberry will host them at 9:50 a.m. on Friday.
