Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain Range). They were the clear victors by a 38-17 margin over the Boulder Panthers on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cameron Williams had a dynamite game, rushing for 79 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 127 yards on nine of 14 attempts. James Watt was in the mix too, providing Mountain Range with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mountain Range was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Mountain Range didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Francisco Ramirez and Austin Ramirez. Francisco is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-2. As for Boulder, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
