The Unaka Rangers will venture away from home to  challenge the Cloudland Highlanders  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Unaka is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9  runs per game  this season.
Things were looking good for Unaka after they put the first  run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell  6-3 to West Greene.
 Kimberly Proffitt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Brooklyn Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base. Another player making a difference was  Katlyn Dugger, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Cloudland lost a heartbreaker to North Greene when they met  back in May of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again  on Thursday. The Highlanders came up short against  the Huskies, falling  13-2. Having soared to a lofty ten  runs in the game before, the Highlanders couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Cloudland's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-12. As for Unaka, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record  this season.
 Unaka couldn't quite get it done against Cloudland when the teams last played  back in May of 2024 as they fell  8-3. Can the Rangers avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
