The Northridge Grizzlies''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 42-14 loss at the hands of Resurrection Christian. Northridge was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Resurrection Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Northridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Justin Thill, who rushed for 11 yards and a touchdown, and Braden Asmus who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown. Asmus' longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Resurrection Christian, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Northridge will head out on the road to face off against Severance at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Severance is ranked 108th, while Northridge is ranked 110th). As for Resurrection Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Thompson Valley at 7:00 p.m. Thompson Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
