Rim of the World (Lake Arrowhead, Calif.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Twentynine Palms (Calif.), 38-0, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Jacob Taylor in the first quarter, the Fighting Scots led 24-0 at the half.
Rim of the World expanded its lead to 31 points entering the fourth quarter. RW's lone score in the quarter came on a
Christian Smith touchdown run.
The Lake Arrowhead school's standout player in the win was Smith. The junior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The loss comes after Twentynine Palms defeated Aquinas 29-7 last week. With the win the Fighting Scots extended their winning streak to three games. The loss snapped the Wildcats' 2-game winning streak.
Twentynine Palms (2-1) will play a non-conference game against Barstow next week, while Rim of the World (3-0) will take on Bishop also in a non-conference game.
