Briggsdale strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They had just enough and edged out the Genoa-Hugo/Karval Pirates 32-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Briggsdale was led to victory by Claire Brown and Bailey Loyd. Brown dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards, while Loyd went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Loyd has scored at least a third of the Falcons' points.

Briggsdale's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Briggsdale will challenge Hi-Plains at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Genoa-Hugo/Karval, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Flagler at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th.
