When it comes to explaining why Belton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kordell Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Williams scored a full 63.2% of Belton's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Belton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Staley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Belton will head out on the road to face off against Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Truman is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Staley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Ozark at 5:30 p.m.
