After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Marion, the Sacred Heart Crusaders were happy to have found some success on Friday. They strolled past Resurrection Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 63-44. For Sacred Heart, this counts as revenge for the 40-35 defeat Resurrection Catholic walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
It was another big night for Raider Williams, who scored 21 points along with eight assists. That's the first time this season that he posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Davey, who scored 13 points.
Sacred Heart's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Resurrection Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sacred Heart will take on Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Enterprise is ranked 236th, while Sacred Heart is ranked 261st). As for Resurrection Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
