Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Fowler Redcats walked away with it. They came out on top against Boron by a score of 43-36 on Thursday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Fowler was led to victory by Lorenzo Turner and Jerod Bubba smith. Turner rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns, while Bubba smith rushed for 81 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
Despite the loss, Boron still got an impressive performance from Andrew Gartica, who rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Gartica's longest rush was for an incredible 74 yards. Isaiah Morgan also helped out as he racked up 108 rushing yards.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fowler and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Boron, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Fowler will head out on the road to face off against Mendota at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Mendota will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Boron does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
