Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Prep Makes It 11 in a Row on the Road

After losing to Sunrise Mountain the last time they met, Notre Dame Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Notre Dame Prep Saints blew past the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs 80-52 on Wednesday. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Sunrise Mountain still got an impressive performance from Caden Hammond, who went 5 for 12 en route to 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Hill, who posted nine points.

Notre Dame Prep pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Notre Dame Prep will head out on the road to square off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sunrise Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Centennial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
