The Beulah Bobcats will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Reeltown Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Beulah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Randolph County 63-34. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Beulah has suffered since December 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, Reeltown suffered a rough 50-26 loss at the hands of Lanett on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Reeltown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while Lanett is ranked 101st).
Reeltown's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Chizyiah Riley, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and London O'Neal who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Riley has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Beulah's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10. As for Reeltown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Beulah ended up a good deal behind Reeltown in their previous matchup on Friday, losing 55-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of O'Neal, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Now that Beulah knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
