The Clare Pioneers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Bullock Creek Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Clare will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Clare didn't have too much trouble with Petoskey on the road as they won 28-14.
Jayden Arthur looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 96 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 152 yards and a touchdown. Clare also got a significant boost from Westyn Bryant, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 103 yards.
Clare's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Jake Punches and his two sacks.
Bullock Creek fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Swan Valley by a score of 21-13 on Friday.
Bo Schwartz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 208 yards and a touchdown.
Clare's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bullock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Clare has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 244.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bullock Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 210.2 per game. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.
