The Dickson County Cougars entered their tilt with the Northwest Vikings with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dickson County enjoyed a cozy 43-29 victory over Northwest on Friday. The score was all tied up 22-22 at the break, but Dickson County was the (much) better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dickson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than McKaleb Frazier, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Frazier was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Malakhi J Redman, who gained 144 total yards and a touchdown.
Dickson County's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.7 points per game. As for Northwest, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Dickson County will head out on the road to face off against Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Houston's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
