As a matter of fact, that's the most points John has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dontae McDowell, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Omaha Northwest's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Burke, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Omaha Northwest will take on Bryan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Burke, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellevue East at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bellevue East is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
