Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask King's Academy). They put the hurt on the Union County Patriots with a sharp 14-3 win on Saturday. The Lions have beaten the Patriots the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Jack Hamilton was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelton Jones, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

King's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

King's Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Union County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10-1 record this season.
