Mount Notre Dame's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Laila Harrison led the charge by scoring nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Hofmann, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Mercy McAuley saw an underclassman step up: Ady Kreimer scored 12 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mercy McAuley struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Mount Notre Dame's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Mercy McAuley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Mount Notre Dame will be playing at home against Ursuline Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ursuline Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 546th, while Mount Notre Dame is ranked 35th). As for Mercy McAuley, they will head out on the road to face off against Seton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
