Basketball Recap: Granger Comes Up Short

Granger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 72-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Jordan Jaguars. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Granger still got an impressive performance from Mason Biddulph, who went 8 of 15 en route to 22 points along with six boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Biddulph a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Gukeisen, who posted five points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Even though they lost, Granger was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Granger's record now sits at 1-12. As for West Jordan, they moved to 2-13 with that win, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granger will head out to take on Cyprus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cyprus is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. As for West Jordan, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the West Jordan Jaguars face off against the Kearns Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Kearns likes a good challenge.
