Fairfax is 4-0 against Justice since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Fairfax Lions will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Justice Wolves at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Fairfax is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Justice in Virginia (Fairfax is ranked 73rd, while Justice is ranked 376th).
Last Wednesday, Fairfax took their game at home with ease, bagging a 74-43 victory over West Springfield. That 74-43 margin sets a new team best for Fairfax this season.
Fairfax had a senior duo take command as Cam Love scored 21 points along with six rebounds and Ronier Peters scored eight points along with 12 assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Love has scored at least 25% of Fairfax's points. Elijah Thomas was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Justice's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Mount Vernon 71-32.
Fairfax has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Justice, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Everything went Fairfax's way against Justice when the teams last played back in January of 2018 as Fairfax made off with a 57-37 victory. Does Fairfax have another victory up their sleeve, or will Justice turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
