The Wilber-Clatonia Wolverines are on the road again on Friday and play against the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on December 29th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Thursday, Wilber-Clatonia lost to Central City on the road by a decisive 57-43 margin.
Cooper Palmer put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 11 points. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Grant Kuhlmann, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 33-32 to Fairbury.
Wilber-Clatonia has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
