Haynes Academy is a perfect 6-0 against Ursuline Academy since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Haynes Academy will host Ursuline Academy at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Ursuline Academy will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Haynes Academy extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. Haynes Academy blew past Lakeshore 9-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ursuline Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Booker T. Washington get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. With that victory, Ursuline Academy brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Shelby Culotta made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Ursuline Academy let Dixie Tatum and Taylor Bellaci run wild. Tatum went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Bellaci scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those four RBI gave Tatum a new career-high. Josie Scobel also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Ursuline Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Haynes Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Everything went Haynes Academy's way against Ursuline Academy when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Haynes Academy made off with a 15-0 victory. Will Haynes Academy repeat their success, or does Ursuline Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
