They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs. Tyler Kniebbe got the start for University and what a start it was: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits. Kniebbe has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jaiden Palmer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Aaden Shaw was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
University now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.
