If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Kirby. They will look to defend their home turf on Thursday against Kingsbury at 7:00 PM. Kirby will be hoping to build upon the 52-0 win they picked up against Kingsbury the last time they played.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Kirby, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. Everything went their way against Brighton last week as the squad secured a 48-7 win. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Kirby had established a 48-7 advantage.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Kingsbury lost to Ridgeway, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-49.
Kirby's victory lifted them to 5-1 while Kingsbury's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll see if Kirby's success rolls on or if Kingsbury are able to steal their positive momentum.
