Fairview won the last time they faced Lakewood and Chloe Hickory did her part to make sure it happened again. The Knights put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 46-23 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Hickory, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caroline Bane, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Saylor Slaughter, who had five points.

Fairview has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 52.5 points this season. As for Lakewood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will host Mountain Vista at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
