This season hasn't been kind to The Ridgeland Panthers, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were the victim of a rough 21-0 defeat at the hands of LaFayette on Friday. Ridgeland lost against LaFayette in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 29-14 score last time.
Ethan Waters threw for 94 yards on seven of 19 attempts. Malachi Hutchinson was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.
LaFayette can attribute much of their success to Khalas Finley, who rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown. Finley was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
Ridgeland's loss was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for LaFayette, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Ridgeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. LaFayette also has no future games currently scheduled.
