The Cristo Rey Research Triangle Bulls can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-48 victory over Carolina Friends. For Cristo Rey Research Triangle, this counts as revenge for the 46-38 defeat Carolina Friends walked away with the last time they faced one another last Friday.
Leading Cristo Rey Research Triangle to victory were Jamaal Miller and Christian Gill. Miller dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Gill dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gill has scored at least a third of Cristo Rey Research Triangle's points. Immanuel Holland was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
The victory got Cristo Rey Research Triangle back to even at 5-5. As for Carolina Friends, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cristo Rey Research Triangle won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Liberty Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 23rd. One thing working in Liberty Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. Carolina Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cresset Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on February 1st.
