After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centreville, Marcellus was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Comstock Colts get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Elin Essex was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Essex was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.
