It was a good run, but Guerin Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the University Trailblazers by a score of 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered since December 22, 2023.

Guerin Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rachel Behrle, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Murphy, who put up 13 points.

University's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Feeney, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 rebounds and nine blocks. With that strong performance, Feeney is now averaging an impressive 2.3 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Taylor Seay, who went 7 of 9 on her way to 14 points and three steals.

Guerin Catholic's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for University, they now also have a winning record of 7-6.
