In what's become a running theme this season, the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They breezed by Natoma at home to the tune of 70-11. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Sylvan-Lucas has managed all season.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caylie Lyle, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lillian Carter, who scored three points along with nine rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Natoma struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Sylvan-Lucas has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Natoma, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6.
Sylvan-Lucas will square off against Otis-Bison on Friday. As for Natoma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
