The HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots waltzed into their contest Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Rockford FIRE HomeSchool by a score of 58-51. That's another feather in the cap for HomeSchool Resource Center, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
HomeSchool Resource Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fredrick Jefferson, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jefferson has scored at least 25% of HomeSchool Resource Center's points. Mason O'Neal was another key contributor, scoring 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
HomeSchool Resource Center's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Rockford FIRE HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
HomeSchool Resource Center will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christian Liberty at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Rockford FIRE HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Life at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
