Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Ridge). Everything went their way against the Marquand-Zion Tigers on Thursday as the Oak Ridge Blue Jays made off with an 85-64 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Jays as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Oak Ridge's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-12. As for Marquand-Zion, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Oak Ridge has already played their next match (against Scott County Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marquand-Zion will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lesterville at 6:00 p.m. on February 10th.
