Calvary Baptist is 1-6 against Alpha Omega Academy since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Calvary Baptist Eagles' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Alpha Omega Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Calvary Baptist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday.
Calvary Baptist's 22-11 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Allen Academy on the road by a decisive 66-50 margin. That's two games in a row now that Calvary Baptist has lost by exactly 16 points.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Max Guisler, who scored 16 points along with 3 blocks. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Tyler Wilson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, everything went Alpha Omega Academy's way against Founders Christian on Saturday as Alpha Omega Academy made off with a 61-41 victory. Given Alpha Omega Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while Founders Christian is ranked 919th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The losses dropped Calvary Baptist to 7-11 and Allen Academy to 3-6.
Calvary Baptist strolled past Alpha Omega Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 by a score of 68-50. Will Calvary Baptist repeat their success, or does Alpha Omega Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
