Baseball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Has No Trouble Against Bishop Carroll

After only one run in their last matchup, Bald Eagle Area made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bishop Carroll on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brayden Dubbs was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Cessna, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Bald Eagle Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .478. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Carroll only posted a batting average of .273.

Bald Eagle Area moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Bishop Carroll, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bald Eagle Area will welcome Mifflin County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Carroll, they will square off against Blacklick Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
