San Clemente entered their tilt with Trabuco Hills on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They claimed a resounding 68-40 win over the Trabuco Hills Mustangs. The Tritons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Porter Hansen, who went 7 of 12 en route to 24 points along with six rebounds and six steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Chase Tolliver was another key player, putting up eight points and 14 boards.

San Clemente smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Trabuco Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shoji Karst, who posted eight points. Karst continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah De Lorez, who put up five points.

San Clemente pushed their record up to 22-5 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Trabuco Hills, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Clemente will host San Juan Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in San Juan Hills' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. Trabuco Hills has already played their next game (against Aliso Niguel), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
