Wilson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Medina Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Two weeks ago, Wilson opened the new year with a less-than-successful 67-54 defeat to Newfane.
Meanwhile, even though Barker scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Medina still came out on top. Medina secured a 59-55 W over Barker. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Medina.
Medina can attribute much of their success to Jerrell Nealy, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds, and Christian Moss, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moss has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Callard, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Wilson now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Medina, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
Wilson beat Medina 58-45 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
