The Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.).

Adam Zagoria in Zagsblog, Spencer Joyner was diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri in November and Irving has picked up the school's $11,000 yearly tuition. The disease leads to debilitating migraine headaches and hospitalization.
Irving was a 2009-10
MaxPreps All-American guard for St. Patrick's High School, which is now The Patrick School. He was
New Jersey’s Player of the Year on a team that featured Michael Gilchrist and averaged 24.5 points, 6.5
assists and 4.5 rebounds per game."It made me feel really good and lucky to have one of my favorite players do that," Joyner told Zagoria.
Irving has a long history of supporting his alma mater, including paying for the funeral of Nixon Geraldo, a then 14-year-old from the school who died last year after he collapsed while playing basketball.
"It's very important, especially if you have the means to do it," Irving told Zagoria.
