Alex Nicholson Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Fort Bragg was led to victory by Alex Nicholson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Nicholson rushed for 221 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (120.6). Those 221 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Nicholson is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Upper Lake on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Nicholson saw the Cougars), he rushed for 174 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 64 yards and a touchdown.

Jhony Covarrubias posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 178 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns.
The win made it two in a row for St. Helena and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Covarrubias and St. Helena will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Middletown at 7:00 p.m.

Kolbe Bufardeci was instrumental in extending Willits's winning streak to four on Friday. Bufardeci was dynamite, making seven total tackles. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 84 yards.
Willits pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Bufardeci and Willits will take on Cloverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ross Knapp Delivers Best Effort of Season
Ross Knapp produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Fort Bragg to the win on Friday. Knapp picked up 192 receiving yards and a touchdown. He's now once again averaging 100+ receiving yards (113.2) per game.
On the season, Knapp has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 113.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.

A Season-Best Performance from Ashton Hartmann Leads Lower Lake over St. Helena
Lower Lake came up short on Friday despite Ashton Hartmann delivering his best game to date. Hartmann threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Lower Lake is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. Hartmann and Lower Lake will square off against Clear Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
