This season hasn't been kind to the Houlka Wildcats, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They fell  41-33 to Potts Camp on Friday. Houlka lost against Potts Camp in their previous head to head  back in January of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  60-30 score last time.
 Despite the  defeat, Houlka had strong showings from  Olivia Halford, who  scored 16 points along with four  steals, and  Madison Martin, who  scored six points along with ten  rebounds. The  matchup was  Halford's third in a row with at least ten points.
 Houlka bumped their record down to 0-12 with that  defeat, which was their 18th straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Potts Camp, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
 Houlka is on the road again  on Tuesday and play against Vardaman at 6:00  p.m.  on December 19th. Potts Camp will be home for the holidays to greet  North Pontotoc at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. North Pontotoc presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Potts Camp in Mississippi (North Pontotoc is ranked 43rd, while Potts Camp is ranked 207th).
