 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Marist  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with six  strikeouts. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 3.2  strikeouts per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 7.
 Marist has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record  this season. As for Druid Hills, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with that  loss, which was their fifth straight  at home dating back to last season.
