The East Lake Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They snuck past St. Petersburg with a 40-36 victory. The victory was just what East Lake needed coming off of a 54-30 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chanya Deboy, who scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Deboy scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rose Cline, who scored 11 points.
East Lake's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for St. Petersburg, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
East Lake will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for St. Petersburg, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th.
