Basketball Recap: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] came into Thursday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 53-43 victory over the Franklin Flyers on Thursday. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Olivia Wall led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Wall also racked up four steals, the most she's had since back in January. Ellaray Koch was another key player, putting up 22 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive matches.

Franklin lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Olivia Haack, who posted eight points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Johanna Haussermann, who put up eight points.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Franklin, their record now sits at 2-2.

As for Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-21 defeat against Deshler on the 20th.
