The Inspired Vision EAGLES pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gateway Charter Academy. Even though they lost, Inspired Vision's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Inspired Vision still got an impressive performance from Tyree Sheffield, who scored 31 points. That was a full 52.5% of Inspired Vision's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Kalala, who scored 12 points.
Khing Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with five assists and five rebounds for Gateway Charter Academy. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. Prince Rider was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 19 rebounds.
Inspired Vision has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Gateway Charter Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
Inspired Vision will head out on the road to face off against Village Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m.
